Holiday Puzzle #8 – More Missing Word Puzzles

Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh the things you can think up if only you try!” – Dr. Suess

This is the start of the second week of my Holiday Puzzles for 2014. I’ve received a lot of great feedback from everyone about the first week’s puzzles.  Please forward the puzzles to others who may also be interested or to teachers that can use them in classrooms.

Just like last Monday, today’s puzzle is another set of missing word puzzles.  In each puzzle, a word or words are missing, replaced by their first letter.  In order to solve each puzzle, you need to find the missing words.  Today’s puzzles are similar to last weeks.  Here’s an example of how they work:

Puzzle:       12 I in a F

The solution is     “12 INCHES in a FOOT

Below are ten puzzles to try

  • 1 H on a U

  • 2 H in a W

  • 3 BM (SHTR)

  • 4 S in a D of C

  • 5 F on each H

  • 6 S on a SF

  • 7 W of the W

  • 9 P in the SS

  • 10 Y in a D

  • 12 M in a Y

Good Luck and pass the puzzles onto others who may enjoy them!
